FlyBe announces new 2010 flights from Leeds Bradford airport September 23 2009
Flybe has now unveiled its complete new early 2010 summer schedule that features 130 flights a week from Leeds Bradford, including services to Aberdeen, Belfast City, Exeter and Southampton, key amongst which is its convenient new early-morning departure.
Tony Hallwood, Commercial and Aviation Development Director at Leeds Bradford Airport, said: "The addition of Flybe's 7am flight to London Gatwick show their continued commitment to serving the region and keeping the business community on the move. An early-morning departure from LBA is crucial for our corporate customers who need to be in central London for 9am to attend meetings."

New Thomas Cook destinations from Leeds Bradford Airport September 3 2009
Thomas Cook Airlines is to fly to three new destinations from Leeds Bradford International Airport next winter and summer.
The new winter routes are Sharm el Sheikh in Egypt from November until April 2010 and Monastir, Tunisia, in November and in March and April next year.
Next summer, Thomas Cook will also offer Antalya in Turkey and Sharm el Sheikh between May and October.
Pete Constanti, chief executive of mainstream travel at Thomas Cook, said: “By adding these extra winter and summer flight routes from LBIA, holidaymakers now have even more destinations to choose from, which are easily accessible from their local airport.”
New Ryanair route from Leeds Bradford Airport August 11 2009
Ryanair has announced that it will be operating a 12th route from Malta from March 25, 2010, connecting the island to the Leeds Bradford. There will be flights to the West Yorkshire airport on Thursdays and Sundays, starting in March 2010.
New Services from Jet2.com August 7 2009
No-frills carrier Jet2.com has confirmed it will operate three new routes from Leeds Bradford Airport from 2010.
The new routes will see the regional airline fly to Bergerac and offer mid-haul choices flights to Sharm el Sheikh and Corfu.
All services are on sale now and start to fly in May 2010.
Philip Meeson, Jet2.com boss said: “It’s clear that everyone feels they need a bit of sun in the summer. Despite great weather predictions from the Met office this year it has been pretty dismal here in the UK.
“We’ve got some great new destinations coming on sale, which will make sure people can at least guarantee some summer sun.”
Flybe has started flights from Leeds Bradford Airport to London Gatwick Airport, as of today, July 7.
The new service offered by the airline gives passengers the option of connecting from Leeds Bradford to 17 Flybe destinations throughout the UK and regional Europe in one booking.
Flybe’s chief commercial officer, Mike Rutter, said: "We are delighted to be starting our service from Leeds Bradford to London Gatwick today and to welcome the first passengers on board.
"Our ticket sales have exceeded initial forecasts and I’m delighted to report strong demand on this key route that is of great strategic importance and which we know is vital for both business and leisure passengers both out of, and into the region."
